The Guardian is the global clubhouse for left-wing groupthink: reflexively anti-conservative, reflexively anti-Trump, and reflexively allergic to truth when it contradicts their priors. Mind Reading. Assign Trump imaginary motives, moods, and fears. Always negative.
Character Smears. Reduce allies to caricatures (“real estate operator”).
Anonymous Echo. Quote “media reports” or “unnamed officials” to launder gossip.
Cartoon Language. Trump doesn’t leave, he “flees.” He doesn’t negotiate, he “prostrates.”
Projection. Accuse Trump of chaos while Biden-era foreign policy was literal chaos.
The Russia Hoax Two-Step. Mention it only to smear Trump — never admit it was disproven, never admit your own complicity. This is Blumenthal’s specialty.
The Payoff. End with the moral: Trump is selfish, vain, and dangerous. Same every time.
The Bottom Line
