Gavin Newsom: The Last Climate Actor on Earth
The circus has left town, but he’s still trying to prop up the collapsing tent.
Author’s Note
This article is dedicated to Sandra, one of my loyal paid subscribers. I promised her I’d write something about Gavin Newsom — and here it is.
Sandra is, shall we say, not a fan of the California governor.
And who can blame her?
This is the same Gavin who recently told millions of conservative voters in our own state that we don’t count as people — that we have no value, no legitimacy, no place in the California he believes he’s “saving.”
In his eyes, we’re politically dead.
His attempt to “save democracy” somehow requires erasing millions of his own constituents. That takes a special kind of self-regard… and an even more special kind of delusion.
And that delusion doesn’t stop with politics — it carries straight into climate.
Because while the world is quietly backing away from the panic narrative, Gavin is still sprinting toward it with theatrical passion, moral certainty, and a pair of hands that look like they’re auditioning for their own Disney+ spinoff. He’s the last performer on a stage the rest of the cast abandoned years ago.
So, Sandra — buckle up.
Here’s the climate story Gavin refuses to retire.
Gavin Newsom: The Last Climate Actor on Earth
The circus has left town, but he’s still trying to prop up the collapsing tent.

Part I — The Climate Star Who Missed the Closing Credits
Most of the world has moved on.
The panic-industrial complex is wobbling.
Even Bill Gates now admits climate isn’t going to kill us anytime soon.
Greta, bless her nautical heart, is still circling the Mediterranean trying to find Gaza—proof that moral outrage makes a lousy GPS.
But Gavin Newsom?
He’s still out there doing Shakespeare in the parking lot long after the theater burned down.
Take Brazil.
He flew all the way to São Paulo to deliver his one-man climate show — hands snapping, slicing, chopping the air like a man trying to swat imaginary carbon molecules.
And the host just stared at him with that polite, diplomatic squint Brazilians reserve for gringos who’ve had too much caipirinha:
a look that said, “You still believe in this crap?”
Yet there Gavin stood — earnest, over-rehearsed, proudly oblivious — the last climate actor on Earth, still trying to keep the collapsing tent upright.
And while he was over there waving his hands in Brazil, his former chief of staff was being publicly humiliated back home. Coincidence? Maybe. But timing like that has a smell.
And then came the DOE report.
And the tent gave way.
Part II — The DOE Breaks Ranks
When the U.S. Department of Energy released its July 2025 climate assessment, it didn’t shout.
It didn’t scold.
It didn’t lecture the peasants or demand more kneeling.
It simply told the truth.
“No detectable increase in extreme weather.”
“Minimal economic harm from warming.”
“U.S. mitigation efforts have no measurable impact on global climate.”
This wasn’t a think tank.
It wasn’t a talk-radio host.
It wasn’t even a rebellious state climatologist.
It was the federal government quietly stepping away from the altar.
A small crack — big enough to send tremors through the Climate Priesthood.
Michael Mann called the DOE report “science denial in the extreme,” which is rich coming from the man whose hockey stick broke under the weight of its own revisions.
Mann is the only weather vane in history you can trust to point in the wrong direction.
Bob: “We could’ve skipped the economic self-harm, kept our trucks, and told the Weather Woke to pound solar sand?”
Yes, Bob. Exactly that.
Part III — The Opportunity Cost of Climate Obedience
While Newsom and the Carbon Cult marched across the world telling everyone to panic, America spent trillions chasing a mirage:
• Solyndra — a half-billion-dollar bonfire run by an Obama donor (California, of course)
• The Inflation Reduction Act — a $400B slush fund of green boondoggles
• “Research centers” producing political press releases disguised as science
• Bureaucracies and NGOs fattened on carbon-offset indulgences
• EV subsidies powering cobalt mining by children abroad
Milton Friedman taught us the true cost of government: what we forego when resources are misallocated.
And what did we forego?
Modern grids. Safer infrastructure. Nuclear breakthroughs. Medical research. Border security. Actual climate readiness.
Bob: “We could’ve cured something — or just paved a damn road — but instead we paid activists to make scarier graphs?”
That’s the scam, Bob.
Part IV — The Palisades Fire: Newsom’s Favorite Lie Collapses
Newsom used the January 2025 Palisades Fire as proof of climate vengeance — hands slicing the air, voice quivering with canned urgency.
But the truth — the part he avoids like a bad poll — is brutally simple: the fire was human. Every piece of it.
Federal charging documents say Jonathan Rinderknecht started the earlier New Year’s fire that “spread above ground in what became the Palisades Fire.”
ATF: “A single person’s recklessness caused one of the worst fires Los Angeles has ever seen.”
Then the water failure — hydrants ran dry because the reservoir was empty.
Next, the power lines — LADWP accused of hiding that its equipment sparked additional ignitions.
And the coup de grotesque:
A technician ordered to shut off power at 1:49 p.m. didn’t act until after 6 p.m., then had to evacuate — leaving live lines crackling in Santa Ana winds.
And those winds? Annual. Predictable. Older than California itself.
So what caused the disaster?
• A suspected arsonist
• Downed power lines
• A late shutdown
• Empty reservoirs
• Bureaucracy and paralysis
Every factor was human. Every failure avoidable.
Newsom ignored all of it and blamed the sky.
That’s not science. It’s narrative maintenance.
Bob: “Fool. Stop.”
Part V — The Failed Forecast Parade
The Climate Priests have been wrong for decades, loudly and lucratively.
2006 — Gore: “Ice-free Arctic by 2013.” (More ice.)
2008 — Hansen: West Side Highway underwater. (Still dry.)
2000 — “Children won’t know snow.” (They shovel it.)
1989 — UN: Nations underwater by 2000. (Maldives building airports.)
2019 — AOC: “12 years left.” (Only her credibility expired.)
Bob: “Being wrong flamboyantly doesn’t make you less wrong.”
Part VI — The Name Game
The Countdown Clowns
The Thermometer Thespians
The Hudson Hysterics
The Tundra Truthers
The Weather Woke
The Carbon Cultists
The Greenhouse Grifters
The CO₂ Charlatans
The Flake Fumblers
The Climate Scammers
The Apocalypse Acolytes
They weren’t prophets. They were performers.
And Newsom? The most theatrical one left. The Full-Stop Fool.
Part VII — Wall of Shame: The Money Trail
Follow the grift:
The Grant Grifters
The Friedman Deniers
The Subsidy Suckers
The Carbon Kleptocrats
The Inflation Reduction Racketeers
The Opportunistic Parasites
Every one of them monetized a fake apocalypse.
Bob: “It wasn’t about saving the planet — it was about saving their funding.”
Final Word
The science didn’t collapse. The narrative did.
And when the DOE broke ranks, it exposed the whole enterprise: a fever dream powered by fear, funding, and political theater.
The planet wasn’t the crisis. The racket was.
And nobody embodies that racket more than Gavin Newsom, the last climate actor still performing after the tent has come down.
Bob: “Fool. Stop.”

Sandra, thanks. I left the door open for a follow-up about his fallen former chief of staff. Once the details are known we’ll put something together. Jim
An awesome deconstruction of the climate hoax and the shameless hoaxster-in-chief. Thank you for fulfilling my wish. Newsom provides rich fodder for your brilliantly mocking narratives.
