In the animal kingdom, many species eat their young (a practice known as filial cannibalism) or the young of their rivals. This gruesome behavior is an evolved survival strategy. Parents do this to conserve resources, eliminate sick or unviable offspring, or regain vital energy. Here is a breakdown of specific animals that engage in this behavior:MammalsHamsters: Stressed hamster mothers will sometimes consume their own newborns. This typically happens if the mother is deficient in essential nutrients, feels her environment is unsafe, or determines she does not have the resources to raise the litter.Lions & Chimpanzees: Male lions and chimpanzees frequently kill (and occasionally eat) infants sired by rival males. This brutal tactic forces the mothers to stop nursing and become fertile again so the new male can pass on his own genes.Polar Bears: Male polar bears have been known to hunt and eat young cubs when food is extremely scarce.

Well, for whatever reason, old Dan was considered expendable.

The point I make is this: although I personally did not like the man, I could recognize his talent and his importance to the party. Throwing away people like that is rarely a sign of a healthy organization.

You don’t bench your leading scorer because you don’t like his haircut.

Another excellent perspective on an ugly situation. I believe it was Goldman who was targeted for his support of Israel & failing to support Iran's proxies per Dem-Socialist agenda. As far as I understand - no other reason. Yes, they eat their own. Unfortunately, DJT has a similar appetite.
