By the time the real story came out the news cycle had moved on. I did not know the real story either. I just thought: he needs to manage his money better. That was a bad reading of a tragic situation. But that is what we were given.

Harold, one of my faithful subscribers sent me the photo. I looked into it and discovered what this was all about. The reader told me that even he did not know the full extent of this brain disease. We learn something new every day. In this case, I only recalled the money angle of Robin’s demise.

Nice comment. What you saw is what you got.

A beautiful description of the underlying pathology, missed by all but a very few.

Thanks for clarifying what truly led to his death. I only recall the first scenario and never heard about his tragic neurological condition. Very sad. How many others are misdiagnosed.

We lost a genius. Thank you for explaining so well the devastation LBD causes, and how we look for reasons our feeble minds can understand.

Our family lived in central Marin County for 47 years. Robin was a wonderful, caring member of this community. He rode his road bike(s) all over & hung around other bikers blending in without any real notice. His new material would be routinely tested (unannounced) at the Throckmorton Theater in Mill Valley before going on the road to the big rooms. He always made himself available to friends & fans in a one-on-one manner. When this major medical concern came up my daughter did his MRI, a close realtor friend sold his Tiburon home after his death. He was both extremely talented & successful & yet, just a nice humble regular guy - no Hollywood glam baggage.
