When Even the Liars Go Silent
By Jim Reynolds
The Sound of Confirmation by Omission
In Washington, there’s a rule as old as the first televised hearing:
“If the facts are on your side, argue the facts. If not, send out the designated liars.”
We’ve seen it too many times to count.
In fact, I already wrote a story about this. Read it here: Designated Liars
When the Trump-Russia hoax started to wobble, they sent out Adam Schiff.
When impeachment theater needed emotional scaffolding, they rolled out Jamie Raskin with a fog machine and a pocket Constitution.
When the Hunter Biden laptop threatened to detonate their 2020 plans, they deployed The 51—America’s most credentialed ghost chorus—to label it “Russian disinformation.”
When the narrative needed rescuing, they always had a face ready: Schiff, Swalwell, Raskin, Goldman, and the 51 ex-spooks waiting backstage with their signed cue cards.
The faces change. The pattern doesn’t.
And yet… here we are… days after the Trump-led U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites…
And something feels… off.
Where’s the outrage tour?
Where’s Swalwell live-tweeting from his kitchen?
Where’s Goldman’s MSNBC monologue blaming “MAGA recklessness” for destabilizing the region?
Where’s Schiff leaking classified assessments claiming the strikes were “largely symbolic”?
Where’s Brennan—yes, John Brennan—drafting another open letter signed by 50 of his closest narrative co-conspirators?
For the most part… nothing.
Except… Brennan did make a brief, limp appearance.
The former CIA Director and permanent member of the Designated Liars Club gave a half-hearted warning about “long-term consequences” and “escalatory risks,” but even he stopped short of denying the effectiveness of the strikes themselves.
Which tells you something.
If Brennan—the same man who helped engineer the Hunter Laptop cover-up with his now-infamous 51-spook letter—won’t flat-out challenge Trump’s success on this?
That’s your red flashing light right there.
Because here’s how this usually works:
If the damage had been superficial...
If Iran’s nuclear capacity remained untouched...
If Trump had exaggerated even slightly...
We’d already be drowning in anonymous leaks, breathless New York Times exclusives, DIA “whistleblower” memos, and urgent MSNBC panels with Adam Schiff looking solemn in front of a fake bookcase backdrop.
Instead?
They’ve pivoted.
They’re grumbling about “process.”
They’re invoking “constitutional concerns.”
They’re issuing vague warnings about “regional stability.”
But they are not challenging the outcome.
Bob’s Verdict:
“When the Designated Liars won’t carry the water, it means the well’s run dry.
Trump said the strikes worked.
The ground says they worked.
And their silence says it loudest of all.”
Postscript Grook: The Silence That Screamed
They spin, they smear,
They bend, they stall,
But not this time—
The facts stood tall.
No quotes, no leaks,
No staged regret—
When liars hide,
The truth is set.
