The majority of our time we liked to interact with members of the community on a personal level, being willing to extend a helping hand where necessary.
The “Officer Friendly” program was established while I there.
Police officers like to do good.
Most people fail to understand, however, that sometimes police work is ugly.
Police officers are human beings.
We sometimes have to deal with unpleasant -dare I say, horrible people.
When dealing with violent people, violence begets violence.
What appears on the cellphones of citizens is often a reaction to violence perpetrated on officers by violent people.
The reaction to violence.
Not what caused it.
That’s where I thank GOD for the arrival of body cameras for the police.
We (well, not me, I’m long since retired) get to film it all.
Bravo! Reaity strikes again. Thanks for reminding us of the deceptive and insidious schemes of the woke institutions. Funny how the similarities come to mind, like the Covid nonsense, voter mismanagement, climate change and other "threatening" programs touted by doomsayers and proven to be absurd and misdirected. And nobody ever apologizes or acknowledges mistakes. We now hear that AI will be destructive...but will it? Biggest hoax of all is the continued attack on our President who has substantially re-directed our country onto its proper Constitutional path. Without apologizing. His legacy will long be remembered.
"That’s how propaganda works. It doesn’t have to fabricate facts. It controls the field of vision. Magnify what indicts. Minimize what complicates. Remove what lets people draw conclusions without an approved narrator."
"No one in this world, so far as I know... has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby."
The truth seeks the light.
That is exactly why body cameras matter. A cellphone often captures the confrontation. The body camera captures what led to it.
Let the whole story be seen. Then let the chips fall where they may.
And keep Cops on the air.
Always and forever!
I like to remind people that this is happening all the time
I agree.
I was a police officer for 36 years.

The cameras show which are which.
Touche’
Democrats hate reality!
Thank you for standing up to the woke narrative.
