I am still bullish on the midterms. The polls are useless, as they have proven many times. Similar to “the news”, polls are just another opportunity to influence voting patterns. That’s about it.
I try to teach people about AI by showing good examples. By the way, I can probably spot AI generated text quicker than most because I am very familiar with its output. The AI generated videos on Youtube are everywhere, including nodding, gesticulating narrators. You can always tell by the way it spews text. Not saying these creations are necessarily bad or harmful, but they are extremely predictable. And cheap to make.
A couple comments called for here. First (embarrassingly) is the historical reference to the Shah of Iran. 1979 is so long ago that a) those alive then won't remember him and b) those born since most likely never even heard of him. Next, the potential salvaging of reality that may take place in the '28 elections is that Trump will not be running and Vance and Rubio, the current potential most likely candidates look very good. There will be an issue as to how much of Trump will likely rub off on them. But they are young enough that attempts to portray either or both of them as Trump surrogates is not likely to succeed. They will carve their own position and attempts to stick Trump ideology on them should fail. All of which will force the Dems to actually come up with their own set of programs to counter. Yes, the Dems can point to Trump programs that will hold over but attacks on most of them I believe will be mostly empty. Anyway, yes this is wishful thinking.
It appears that the part of the coalition that wins destroys the useful idiots who helped defeat the mutual opponent. We’ve seen this happen before with the Bolshevik Revolution and the French Revolution. It was not a pretty sight.
Well said Jim as always! The inauguration brought such excitement for the future. The Democrats suffered a blow but recovered and launched Hate Trump 2.0. This time they and the MSM haven’t completely thwarted the Trump administration but have caused chaos nonetheless. Thinking about November gives me anxiety attacks.

Appears to be a pattern.

Pretty cool conclusion by Grok, Jim. Insightful.
